How to build your business website with Klaasi AI (no designer needed)

Every Klaasi shop comes with a website. It's ready the moment you open your shop, at an address like klaasi.com/yourname. Your products, prices and Buy buttons are already on it.

But a good website also tells your story: who you are, why people should buy from you, how delivery works and answers to common questions. Writing all that can take days. With Klaasi AI, it takes about 30 seconds.

This guide shows you how to pick a theme, let Klaasi AI build your website, change anything you like, and publish it, and how to give it your own domain.

Open the Website editor

In your dashboard menu, under Website, tap Website editor. You'll see four tabs:

• Sections: the blocks that make up your page.
• Design: themes, colours, fonts and special touches.
• Pages & menu: your menu links, extra pages and footer.
• My business: what you sell, which changes your menu and suggested sections.

Changes save as you go, but visitors only see them after you tap Publish. If you change your mind, Undo changes throws away everything since you last published.

Step 1: Let Klaasi AI build it for you

In the Website editor, tap Let AI build my website. This opens Build my website for me.

Tell it about your business

1. What do you sell, and who do you sell to? Write it like you'd tell a customer. A few lines is enough. For example: "We make handmade leather bags and sandals. Our customers are young professionals who want quality that lasts. We deliver nationwide."
2. What makes you different? (optional) For example: "Every bag is stitched by hand and checked twice."

Choose your language

Under Write my website in, pick one: English, Pidgin, French, Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo or Swahili. Speak to your customers in the language they use.

Choose a theme

Under Theme, choose Pick the best theme for me or Keep my current theme. Klaasi AI only picks from the themes your plan includes.

Build it

Tap Build my website. Klaasi AI writes your whole website: the welcome banner, why buy from you, questions and answers, about you and delivery.

It only writes true things from what you tell it. No fake reviews or promises. Your photos and products stay as they are.

Nothing goes live until you tap Publish. Your new website is saved as a draft, so you can read it, change anything and publish only when you're happy.

The page shows how many builds you have left this month. Every plan, including Free, can try it. Builds renew on the 1st of each month.

Step 2: Pick a theme

Open the Design tab and look at Themes. Each theme has its own look. Tap one to try it in the preview. Your words and pictures stay.

There are themes for stores, restaurants and creators. Each one is made for a kind of business: clothes and perfume, jewellery and watches, beauty and hair, groceries, streetwear, designer fashion, phones and gadgets, restaurants, cakes, fine dining, courses and coaching, and more.

Which plans get which themes

• Free: a default theme for your kind of business.
• Pro: five themes (Market Day, Gold Room, Bloom, Street Grill and Midnight) on top of the free ones.
• Business: every theme.

Some themes come with their own signature sections, like a moving strip of words, a clothes rack buyers swipe along, or a "shop the look" photo. They're added when you pick the theme.

Make it yours

Still in Design, you can change:

• Colours: main colour, highlight, background, cards and text.
• Fonts: for headings and body text.
• Corners, Buttons, Logo position and Product cards.
• Special touch: film grain, kente stripes, gold foil, leaves and more.
• Big capital letters and Moving effects (sections glide in as people scroll).

Step 3: Edit your sections

Open the Sections tab. Your page is a stack of sections, like building blocks. For each one you can:

• Tap Edit to change its words, pictures and buttons.
• Use Move up and Move down to change the order.
• Show or Hide it.
• Copy or Delete it.

Add a section

Tap Add a section and pick from groups like Top of the page, Sell, Pictures & words, Build trust and Contact. Popular ones:

• Big banner: the first thing visitors see.
• Products: a grid or list of what you sell.
• Featured product: one product, big.
• Reviews: what customers say.
• Questions & answers: answer common questions.
• Why buy from us: three short promises.
• Countdown: for a sale or launch that ends soon.
• WhatsApp button: let visitors chat with you.
• Contact & hours: address, phone, map and opening hours.
• Mailing list: collect emails for news and offers.

Pictures can be JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB each.

Step 4: Pages, menu and footer

Open Pages & menu to:

• Change the Name in the header (your logo picture is in Logo, bio & links).
• Add an Announcement bar, like "Free delivery this week!"
• Add Menu links.
• Write your Footer.
• Add your own pages, like "Our story" (Pro and Business).

On Pro and Business you can also switch off Show "Made with Klaasi".

Step 5: Preview and publish

Tap Preview and switch between Phone and Computer to see your website the way visitors will. Most of your buyers will visit on a phone, so check the phone view carefully.

When it looks right, tap Publish. You'll see Published! Visitors now see your new website. Tap View live to open it.

Step 6: Give it your own domain (Pro and Business)

Your free address, klaasi.com/yourname, always works. But your own name, like yourbrand.com, looks more professional and is easier to remember.

Buy a domain on Klaasi

1. In the menu, open Domain.
2. Search for your business name and tap Search.
3. Pick a name that's free and tap Claim it free or Buy it.
4. Pay from your Klaasi wallet balance and confirm.

Klaasi buys it, connects it and switches on https for you. No technical steps. It takes a few minutes, and you'll see three ticks: Domain ready, Pointed at your shop and Secure (https), shop open.

On yearly Pro and on quarterly or yearly Business, the first year of a .com, .store, .shop or .online name is free. Other names cost the registry's price plus a small fee. With Auto-renew on, renewals come from your wallet 14 days before the date, and Klaasi reminds you 30 days before.

Your own domain opens your shop while you're on Pro or Business. If your plan ends, visitors are sent to your klaasi.com address until you renew.

Already have a domain? (Business)

On Business you can connect a domain you bought somewhere else. Tap Connect it (Business) on the Domain page, type your domain and tap Save domain. Then add the two records Klaasi shows you at the company where you bought it. Then tap Check my records. Klaasi switches on https by itself once both records are in.

Tips for a website that sells

• Lead with the result. Your big banner should say what buyers get, not just your name.
• Show real photos. Your products and your face build trust.
• Answer the top questions. Delivery, payment and sizes stop people from leaving to ask.
• Add the WhatsApp button for buyers who want to chat first.
