How to get paid and withdraw your money on Klaasi
How buyers pay you, what pending and available mean in your wallet, how to verify your identity, add a bank, dollar or USDT account, and withdraw, by hand or automatically.
Making a sale feels great. Getting the money into your account feels even better. This guide explains how money moves on Klaasi, from the moment a buyer pays to the moment it lands in your bank or wallet.
We'll cover how buyers pay, what you see in your wallet, the identity check, adding payout accounts, withdrawing (by hand or automatically) and downloading your statement.
How buyers pay you
Buyers pay on your product page, your shop, an invoice or a checkout link. They can pay by:
- Card
- Bank transfer
- Mobile money
- Crypto (when it's switched on for checkout)
Buyers in Nigeria see prices in naira. Everyone else sees dollars. In some countries, like Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, buyers also see an "about" amount in their own money under the dollar price, so they know roughly what they'll pay.
Buyers get their product straight away after paying. You don't need to check payment screenshots or send files by hand.
Klaasi's fee
Klaasi takes a fee on each sale. The rest is yours. Your dashboard shows, for every sale, what the buyer paid, Klaasi's fee and You get. Fees depend on your plan and how the buyer pays. See the pricing page for the current fees.
Your wallet: pending and available
Open Wallet in your dashboard menu (under Money). Your money is shown in groups:
- Pending: from recent sales. It becomes available after a set number of days. The wallet shows exactly how many days, next to Pending.
- Available: ready to withdraw.
- Being paid out: withdrawals on their way to you.
- Paid out: everything you've already received.
If you sell in both naira and dollars, you'll see a balance for each currency.
Why is money pending first?
The short wait covers the time payment companies take to settle a payment, and the time for buyers to report a real problem. It protects you and your buyers.
For things you deliver (like clothes or food), the money is held until the buyer confirms they got it, or until a set number of days after you mark the order as sent if the buyer reports no problem.
Step 1: Verify your identity
Before Klaasi sends you money, we must know who you are. It's a legal requirement for payments, and you only do it once.
- Open Identity in the menu, or tap Verify now on your Wallet page.
- Type your Full legal name, exactly as on your ID and your bank account.
- Pick the Country you live in and your ID type: national ID card, passport, driver's licence, NIN slip (Nigeria) or voter's card.
- Type only the Last 4 characters of the ID number. We never ask for or store the full number.
- Add a clear photo or PDF of your ID (front, and back if it has one).
- Tap Send for checking.
A Klaasi person checks it, usually within a day. You'll get a notification when it's done, and you can keep selling meanwhile. Only Klaasi's checking team can see your document, and every view is logged.
Step 2: Add your payout accounts
On your Wallet page, find Payout accounts. You can have one account for naira and one for dollars.
A Nigerian bank account (naira)
- Tap Add your Nigerian bank account (naira).
- Search for Your bank and pick it.
- Type your Account number (10 digits).
- Klaasi checks with your bank and shows the account name: "is this you?"
- If the name is right, tap Save this account.
A dollar account
- Tap Add your dollar account.
- Choose the Country where your bank or wallet is.
- Under How do you want to be paid?, pick a route. Depending on the country, you'll see options like a US bank, a UK bank (paid in pounds), a bank in euros (IBAN), a Canadian bank or Interac, a local bank account, mobile money, or a bank transfer by SWIFT.
- Fill in the details. The Name on the account must match your verified identity.
- Tap Save this account.
If you pick a route paid in local money, your dollars are changed when we pay you, and the withdraw screen shows the amount first.
USDT (crypto)
Prefer crypto? Tap Or get paid in USDT (crypto) instead. Paste Your USDT (TRC-20) wallet address from your wallet app. It starts with T and has 34 characters. Add your full name and tap Save USDT wallet.
Check the address carefully. Money sent to a wrong address can't be recovered.
Your full account details are stored encrypted. Your Wallet page only shows the last four digits.
Step 3: Withdraw your money
- On your Wallet page, tap Withdraw.
- How much do you want to withdraw? Type an amount, or tap All.
- Klaasi shows the fee and exactly what you'll receive in your account.
- Tap Continue, check the details, then tap Yes, withdraw.
You'll see Withdrawal requested. Follow it in Withdrawals:
- Waiting for review: Klaasi checks it before the money is sent.
- Sending: on its way.
- Paid: sent to your account.
- On hold: Klaasi needs to check something.
- Not sent (money returned): the money is back in your wallet.
Smallest withdrawal and fees
Your Wallet page shows the Smallest withdrawal and the fee on your plan before you confirm. Today:
- Naira to a Nigerian bank: a small fee on the Free plan; free on Pro and Business.
- Dollars to a bank or mobile money: a percentage, with a minimum and a maximum.
- USDT: a percentage, with a minimum.
Fees and minimums are set by Klaasi and can change. Always check the amount on the withdraw screen; it's the real number.
Step 4: Turn on automatic withdrawals (optional)
Don't want to remember? Under Automatic withdrawals, choose Every day, Every week or Every month, pick the day, and tap Save schedule.
Klaasi then creates the withdrawal for you on that schedule. We still check each one before the money is sent. Choose Off (I'll withdraw myself) to stop.
Step 5: Download your statement
Your Wallet page has a Statement with every movement of money. Use the tabs to see All, Sales, Refunds, Withdrawals, Plan payments or Other, and pick dates with From and To. It shows Money in and Money out totals.
Tap PDF or CSV to download the same choice, for your records, your accountant or a loan application.
Good to know
- Refunds come from the seller's earnings, not from Klaasi. If a refund is paid after you've already withdrawn that money, your wallet shows what you owe, and it comes out of your next sales automatically.
- Team members with the finance role can see the wallet, but only the shop owner can withdraw or change payout details.
- Invoices paid with the Pay button go to the same wallet. See How to send invoices on Klaasi.
